Established in 1999 The Big Horn Mountain BBQ sits on the corner of 13th Street and Vinton, which used to be the site of the old Rourke Field also known as Vinton Street Park. Vinton Street Park began way back in the 19th century, and lasted until a fire destroyed it in 1936. Never to be rebuilt, baseball too, left Omaha.
Then in 1947 along came the Municipal Stadium and more pro baseball was born again in Omaha and soon thereafter this stadium was named Rosenblatt.
The Big Horn Mountain BBQ has been in operation since 1999, with only a few different owners, a bit of remodeling here and there but, other than that, the recipes are still the originals. Come on in a give us a try, we won't disappoint. We gladly offer carry out and welcome any catering questions you may have. See you soon.
