$20 for $40 worth of Omaha's finest. Breathe in the Italian history of Omaha. Steaks, pasta, prime rib, chicken, fabulous wine...
Winner of Travel Channel's Food Wars; Best Prime New York Strip
This Italian steakhouse is one of Omaha's original steakhouses, owned and operated by Chuck and Jerry Caniglia.
The Venice Inn was founded in 1957 by Eli Caniglia, who, with his four brothers, started the first pizzeria in Omaha. From there they turned the pizzeria into an Italian steakhouse.
Eli brought his Sicilian recipes and a touch of Italy with an old town atmosphere to midtown Omaha. The Venice Inn serves Omaha’s finest choice of steaks, chops, and prime rib, specializing in Sicilian and Italian dinners, along with fresh seafood, fish, chicken dishes, and pizzas.
It may seem odd to find great seafood and chicken in a restaurant known for its choice prime rib, steaks, and chops, but the Venice Inn plays the unexpected role perfectly. So, go ahead with the traditional steaks, and just for good measure try one of the sesame seafood dishes. And of course, enjoy one of the original family recipes from Sicily and Italy that have made the Venice Inn pizza and pasta dishes legendary.
Relaxed elegance defines the party rooms. From an intimate gathering to a large celebratory party, the Venice Inn takes great pride in their intimate banquet rooms that seat 20 to 175 for all occasions: prenuptials, business meetings and family gatherings are all welcome at the Venice Inn.
The restaurant now has outdoor seating on a beautiful deck setting. It seats a total of 450, and you can slip away this time of year and enjoy a tropical drink while catching your favorite sport on TV. Or, listen to live music on the weekends in our upscale lounge.
The Venice Inn holds a lot of memories for my husband and me. My husband has been coming since 1958, starting with his parents at the age of 3, and I have been coming with him since high school prom and dances, then family get-togethers and celebrations. Excellent service and food! Dave is a hoot, and Chuck Caniglia is the Tom Osborne of the restauranteurs!!!

Whenever I have any company outings, suppliers in town, or take customers out I always go to Caniglia's Venice Inn. They do things the old fashioned way: great service with outstanding food at reasonable prices. It is no wonder that they are in the restaurant hall of fame!
